그라인드 코어는 극도로 공격적인 사운드를 추구하기 때문에 처음 들었을 때는 매우 신선하고 충격적으로 다가오지만,
동시에 장르 특성상 특별히 애정이 있지 않은 사람들에게는 노래들이 다 거기서 거기인 것 처럼 들리기 때문에 처음의 뽕맛과는 별개로 아주 빨리 질린다는 것 또한 부인할 수 없다.
하지만 시종일관 때려부수는 것 처럼만 보이는 그라인드에도 타 장르처럼 곡마다 나름대로의 잔잔함이 있고, 또 나름대로의 폭발력이 있다. 이러한 완급조절이 뛰어난 곡들을 접하다 보면 조금 더 오래 그라인드 코어를 즐길 수 있지 않을까.
개인적으로는 본작의 11번 트랙이 그 진수를 보여주고 있다 생각한다.
동시에 장르 특성상 특별히 애정이 있지 않은 사람들에게는 노래들이 다 거기서 거기인 것 처럼 들리기 때문에 처음의 뽕맛과는 별개로 아주 빨리 질린다는 것 또한 부인할 수 없다.
하지만 시종일관 때려부수는 것 처럼만 보이는 그라인드에도 타 장르처럼 곡마다 나름대로의 잔잔함이 있고, 또 나름대로의 폭발력이 있다. 이러한 완급조절이 뛰어난 곡들을 접하다 보면 조금 더 오래 그라인드 코어를 즐길 수 있지 않을까.
