Slipknot paved the way for a new generation of hardcore nu metal. The First 6 tracks are memorable in every way, they are fast, heavy, and full of energy. The intensity dies down near the back half of this album. With songs sounding repetitive or slow. nonetheless this is one of pioneers of the nu metal genre.   May 10, 2022

Fairly uninspired writing and simple repetitive guitar tracks. Vocals are noting to write home about, but Ivan Moody has never been very lyrically talented. Despite this its not a bad listen, the songs blend well into each other and have fantastic clean and heavy parts. Wish this was the sound they used going forward because it showed a lot of promise in the ways it could be changed.   Mar 3, 2022

Sounds like a heavier slower version of 3 dollar bill y'all. Guitar riffs are very simple but contain a nice groove. J-sin has a few good lines, but over all most of the lyrics boil down to "don't mess with me, i'm crazy". Best songs are Loose, Supa Freak Love, and The Big Fuck You.   Feb 25, 2022

The whole album is a weird funky mess of slap bass, incredible drum beats, and random freestyle guitar in the background. You cant really take this album at face value, because it doesn't really have one. Primus are in a league of their own, and in my eyes are very good at what they do. Best songs are DMV, Nature Boy, Hamburger Train, And My Name Is Mud. A great listen for any funk metal fans.   Feb 17, 2022

This album is good, but is no where near the first two. The songs are fairly identical sound wise and much less extreme the The Darker Side of Nonsense. That makes this album fairly tedious to listen two, and not very enjoyable. Best songs are Kingdom Of The Blind, for its phenomenal clean vocals, and My Dying Heart being a great opener. In the vast land of garbage Nu-metal, Dry Kill Logic were a fresh breath of air. Unlike many bands before, this album didn't fall into the "A side curse". Albums like Slipknot's and Limp Bizkit's Debuts, had great A sides, but fell very weak on the back half of there albums. The Darker Side Of Nonsense never turns down the intensity, creating heavy song after heavy song. Highlights are Pain, The Strength I Call My Own, and Certainly Rot.   Feb 4, 2022

A fairly unlikely combination of metal sub genres, Metal-core and Nu metal, and done to perfection. Capturing the essence of jumpy chuggy Nu metal guitar tones, and Early 2000's metal-core melodic interludes. Paper Tiger, Lost, and With Deepest regrets give me goosebumps every time I hear them. This entire album is so heavy, it gets to a point where its almost startling. From the horrifying vocals, to the extremely distorted and chunky guitars. Even the samples used make the aura around this album unsettling. Heavily recommend for anyone looking to get into extreme metal, absolutely BRUTAL.   Oct 29, 2021

드디어 이들의 약점이었던 절제된 기타솔로가 어느정도 해금되었습니다. 지난 앨범도 만족스러웠는데 역시나 이번에도 실망하지 않게 해주네요. 나이가 들어감에 따라 내가 좋아하는 밴드들도 하나둘씩 늙어가고 멤버들도 세상을 떠나는 걸 보니 매우 슬프네요. 반덴플라스는 계속 음악활동 왕성히 해주었으면 좋겠습니다   May 8, 2024

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   Apr 25, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024
