A면에서의 Painkiller와 Metal Meltdown이 너무나 크게 활약을 해 버려서 A면의 나머지 곡들은 어쩔 수 없이 비교당하고 만다. 그래도 B면의 곡들 끝까지 이들의 질주감과 헤비메탈 기타의 진수, 드라마틱함까지 느낄만한 곡들이 대거 포진되어 있어 충분히 뒷심을 발휘해주고 있다. 정말로 Painkiller와 Metal Meltdown은 이 앨범에서 환상적으로 도드라진다.

Best Priest album. Top notch drumming. Heaviest Priest album when it was released. Painkiller and Touch of Evil have some of the best solos. Best tracks: Painkiller, Touch of Evil, Night Crawler, Hell Patrol.

이보다 더 아름다운 메탈 앨범이 32년째 나오지 않고 있고 앞으로도 나오지 않을것 같다. 이 앨범의 자켓을 70인치 정도 되는 포스터로 인쇄해서 우리집 어딘가의 벽에 붙여놓고 싶다.

누군가 헤비메탈이 뭐냐고 묻는다면 권해줄 앨범. 1번 페인 킬러부터 마지막 곡까지 앨범 전체가 감동이다. 특히 이 앨범의 리프는 인류의 문화 유산이다.

Is it the best metal album ever? Close in my opinion, but no. However, if you want one of the best examples of what raw metal power is, check out Painkiller.

헤비메탈을 궁금해하는 사람에게 딱 이앨범 하나 추천한다. 왜냐 역사상 최고의 헤비메탈 앨범이라고 생각하기 때문이다.
