album "Tarantula Heart" obsahuje 5 piesní, z toho prvá "Pain Equals Funny" má až cez 19-násť minúť, čo je probllém, pretože väčšinu času je monotónna. Druhá pieseň to o niečo zlepší, no následne opäť prejdú na priemernosť. Spev Buzz Osborne -ho je skôr priemerný, ničím výrazný (akoby nemali nikoho na spev, tak v minulosti mu pripadla táto úloha). po hudobnej stránke kombinujú Stoner/Noise/Sludge Rock s občasnými prvkami Metal -u.

5 really distinct tracks. The 1st half of track is a lot more exciting than the 2nd half of it. That's the most negative thing I can say about this album. After all these years Melvins still have a lot to say musically, and here it's all played well. I thought I'd like it and it exceeded my expectations. Hats off.
