Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible

I hear some thoughtfulness in the composition and real musical skills here. I'm not getting the seething passion though, like you hear from something like Portishead. I also don't hear the underground-feeling atmosphere from something like Massive Attack. I feel like this album is missing something, and those two bands are the closest ideas I have to what the missing ingredient is.
