Honestly, I'm not sure exactly what it is about this album, but everything just falls together very nicely. The Black/Folk Metal is done very well, but the traces of Doom and general melancholia elevate it further. Very solid release front to back, minus the interlude Mealltach. The flute led interlude Beneath a Bronze Sky is actually really great.
