v roku 1977 vydali Quartz rovnomenné album, pričom na dobu vydania je to celkom podarená kombinácia Hard Rock -u, old school Heavy Metal -u a občas aj AOR. Producentom albumu bol Tony Iommi z Black Sabbath.

토니 아이오미의 손길이 닿은 앨범으로 NWOBHM의 극초반기의 음색을 간직한 앨범이기도 하다. 1집은 다른 음반에 비하여 평이 떨어지지만 NWOBHM의 원초적인 음색을 느낄 수 있다는 의의가 있다.
