"Firefly" was Uriah Heep's first album without their first lead vocalist and founding member David Byron, and the first of three albums with new singer John Lawton. It is their tenth studio album, released by Bronze Records in the UK and Warner Bros Records in the US. Also bassist Trevor Bolder made his Uriah Heep debut on this album.

가진 훌륭한 실력은 어디 안 가기에 나쁘지 않은 앨범을 만들어냄. 하지만 이전에 보여주던 Progressive한 면이 거의 없어지다보니 Rainbow느낌의 일반적인 Hard Rock이 되어버리고, 차별성이 없는 양산형 음악을 들려줌. 그냥 편하게 듣기엔 괜찮음.
