여전히 무시무시한 스피드와 브루털리티를 자랑하는 Ulcerate의 정규 3집. 전작보다 더욱 무겁고 아기자기해진 리프가 돋보인다. 특히 뒤틀린 멜로디의 리프와 블래스트 비트, 포스트 블랙 혹은 정통 데스메탈에서 들릴 법한 저음 그로울링이 주도하는 장중한 분위기는 그야말로 압권이다. 청자에 따라서 리프나 박자에 대해 Deathspell Omega의 후기작들을 연상할 수도 있으며, 전작에 비해 어느정도 완급조절을 해내고 있음에도 불구하고 각 트랙의 러닝타임이 상당한 수준이라 듣기에 상당한 집중을 요한다. 끊임없이 달리는 와중에 느닷없이 찾아오는 고요가 너무나도 인상적이며, 테크닉의 측면에 있어서는 무자비하다는 말이 절로 나온다. 전작들과 마찬가지로 강력 추천할 수 있는 테크니컬 데스 메탈.

The third album of that new Zealand technical death metal group is good enough to hear it!

Like other albums that fall in the category of "weird" Technical Death Metal, this album takes some time to get used to. The unique chord progression used on a frequent basis guides the whole album through a maelstrom of insanity.
