Played their last show as Last Rites on July 11, 1997, and became Carnival Of Soul.
Carnival of Soul" is a Nationally Touring Progressive Alternative Indie Rock Band residing in South West Florida. They have 4, and a 5th in the mixing stage. Capable of playing over four hours of their own original music (with over 100 original songs), they also play extensive covers from Elvis and The Beatles, to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, as well as Collective Soul, Golden Earring, Foo Fighters, Wings, 3 Doors Down, Guns N' Roses, Highly Suspect, and so many more. Their energetic and musically intense, and diverse sets provide for an entertaining, and very interesting evening of music. They have shared the stage with great bands such as Night Ranger, Warrant, W.A.S.P., Blue Oyster Cult, Steppenwolf, The Bullet Boys, Winger, Nazareth, Girlschool, Savatage, and even Taylor Dayne!!! They were hired twice to play Three Hours of music from the KING of Rock 'n Roll, for the proclaimed Son of Elvis, Phillip Stanick, a.k.a. Elvis Presley, Jr., under the band leadership of Tommy Vale, Saxophonist from Buddy Holly's Crickets. A very diverse, and electrifying career for the members of COS...so far...
