My most played album #201. Kansas - 1st self titled 1974. Such a familiar story music genius practices in the garage for years, puts the most amazing music ever made on their first album but nobody knows them so they don’t listen, years later these geniuses release a song that blows everybody away and yet the early stuff, the best stuff goes unnoticed! “Journey from Mariabronn” A masterpiece their best song ever? "Death of Mother Nature Suite" Another song best ever? "Can I Tell You" A song that a band would work on for years and use as the first song ever! "Lonely Wind" that should have been a hit. "Bringing It Back" their only cover, just magic! The album cover depicts abolitionist John Brown in a scene from Tragic Prelude, a mural by Kansas native John Steuart Curry. The original mural is painted on a wall at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka.
