Black Label Society의 세 번째 앨범인 1919 Eternal은 Ozzy Osbourne의 Down to Earth와 같은 시기에 만들어진 작품이다. Ozzy Osbourne 밴드에서 기타리스트로서 활동하면서, 동시에 Black Label Society를 이끌어가고 있던 Zakk Wylde는 매우 바쁜 시기를 보내고 있었다. Down to Earth를 만드는 과정에서 Zakk Wylde 역시 몇몇 곡을 작곡했는데, 그는 이 동안에 만든 다섯 곡을 이 앨범에 싣기를 원했다. 그러나 Zakk Wylde의 의도는 Ozzy Osbourne의 완강한 반대에 부딛쳐서 무산되었다. Ozzy Osbourne이 Zakk Wylde의 요청을 거부했던 이유는 이 곡들이 자신의 밴드와 어울리기 보다는 Black Label Society에 훨씬 어울렸기 때문이다. 이러한 반발에 Zakk Wylde는 수긍하고 자신의 밴드의 신작에 문제의 곡들을 싣는 것으로 종결되었다. 문제가 되었던 곡들은 Life, Birth, Blood, Doom와 Bleed For Me 등인데, 이 곡들을 들어보면 Ozzy Osbourne가 Down to Earth에 수록하기를 거부했는지 이해가 된다. 이 곡들은 Ozzy Osbourne로서는 애시당초 소화할 수도 없었을 뿐더러 궁합이 안 맞는다. 이러한 곡들은 응당 Zakk Wylde가 불러야 했던 곡들이다. 다행스럽게도 이 곡들은 Black Label Society의 1919 Eternal에 실려 본연의 가치를 드러낼 수 있었다. 이 앨범은 이외에도 뜻밖의 비극으로 제목이 바뀌기도 했다. 원래 이 앨범의 원 ...
