1976년에 뉴욕에서 결성되어 Atlantic과 계약을 맺고 내놓은 셀프 타이틀 데뷔작에서부터 대대적인 히트를 기록하며 슈퍼밴드로서 승승장구하던 Foreigner의 위상을 최고조로 끌어올린 4집 음반이다. 레코딩 과정에서 창단멤버였던 키보드의 Al Greenwood와 기타의 Ian McDonald의 탈퇴로 4인조로 재편성되었으며, AC/DC의 "Back in Black"을 프로듀싱 한 것으로 유명한 Robert John "Mutt" Lange와 Mick Jones가 공동으로 프로듀싱하였다. 멜로디컬 함이 극대화된 하드락 곡으로 빌보드 싱글차트 2위에 가장 오랫동안 머문(10주) 곡이라는 이색적인 기록을 가지고 있는 "Waiting for a Girl Like You" 등을 담고 있다. Foreigner 최고의 전성기를 맞이하게 해준 명반으로 2,000만 장에 육박하는 판매고를 기록하였다.

There's no other album that represents the 80's better than this. Great sound. Good songs but no song here really make me stop to play it back. However, in general is a good experience

One of the most popular albums of the 80's. It is always refreshing to listen to it.
