Livin'Evil a un parcours atypique, il s'agit ici d'un album hommage au compositeur principal, aujourd'hui disparu, et dont les compositions originelles des années 90 ont été ici réenregistrées avec une production sonore au gout du jour, qui aurait malgré tout mérité un meilleur mixage, mais qui permet de se prendre une baffe de heavy metal mélodique, plutôt rare de nos jours. L'album de 14 titres, dont 2 intros, est agrémenté de guests prestigieux, tels que Timo Tolkki ou Roland Grapow. Suite à une intro sombre et étrange, tirée de la 1ere démo de 1993 "the Tree Of Evil", avec la voix d'origine de Patrick Pairon, vient un morceau aux racines heavy 70's, avec un break lancinant aux ambiances planantes, avec un solo de Simon Girard de Beyond Creation. Superbe fin de morceau avec des coeurs heavy entrainants. Suit l'excellent "Behind the Light" aux inspirations Maideniennes clairement revendiquées avec un chant sublime de Tasos Lazaris, chants d'ailleurs excellents sur tous les morceaux ! Le morceau"Through the Night", le + long de l'album, heavy à souhait avec changements de rythmes inattendus, est lui emmené par un solo épique de Phil Tougas ( First Fragment), du pur génie ! Le morceau "A song for a Dead Man", tout simplement excellent également et riche émotionnellement.
