현 멜로딕 데스 메탈이 프로그레시브 메탈, 포스트록 등 타장르의 도입을 통해 외연을 넓혀가는 와중 Obsequiae, Inexorum의 멤버들은 시대를 역행하여 90년대 초창기 멜로딕 데스 메탈을 꽤 괜찮은 수준으로 구현해냈다. 대신 선배 밴드들의 음악에서 보여졌던 인상적인 훅과 오리지널리티의 부재는 뼈아프다.

My kind of melodeath. I guess my kind of melodeath doesn't sound much like melodeath for some moments in the album, but I think if the sub-genre was redefined to this album then it would be a better sub-genre. These guys have been in a bunch of black metal and doom bands, so I'm totally biased in their favor, but this is far superior to this year's In Flames album.
