Additional notes
Not to be confused with:
•Decrepit from Spokane, Washington
•Decrepit from Munster, Indiana
Formed from the ashes of Mutilation.
Decrepit circa 1995. Left to right:
Rob Molzan, Tom Rojack (R.I.P.), Chris Dora, Gene Lambert, Duane Morris.
Members of Decrepit formed the Black Metal band Funeral Pyre as a side project in 1994. At this early time, it was an outlet for them to play old-school black metal exclusively, and also change instruments. Upon his departure from Decrepit in 1995, guitarist Gene Lambert decided to make Funeral Pyre his own full time band and recruited other members.
Former guitarist Jason Unterreiner (1991-1992) drew the band's logo, and helped with writing some of the earliest songs which were never recorded. He is currently a member of Funeral Pyre.
The letters from Decrepit's logo were later blatantly stolen by the Japanese band Vomit Remnants.
