Maruah (Malay for "Honour") was formed as a project band by Petaling Jaya region nationalist metalheads with the purpose to unite with the skinhead scene. The band at early formation comprises of three skinheads and three metalheads whose later line-up changed frequently eventhough the band was only active around 2009-2010. In total the band used to have around 10 line up in just a year. The genre is a mix of heavy/speed metal meets with Oi! and RAC.
Maruah is now disbanded and leading member Andika went on to continue the band with Jugra by using 2 of Maruah original tracks re-arranged and re-recorded for Jugra.
