After the out-of-court settlement, Geoff Tate lost the rights to the name Queensrÿche. After a farewell tour under the Queensrÿche name, he plans to rename his band "Operation: Mindcrime" after the 1988 Queensrÿche album of the same name. Geoff Tate stated that a new conceptual project by the group has been planned. It is to be split into a trilogy of albums, being released at different times. He considers it one of his most ambitious projects yet, and hopes to have the first album out by early 2015.^[36]
