1. Shores of Mourning (11:14)
Commence softly lest our fragile skin
Erode from the tides, rest here, becoming less
The wind chills me to my bones
Thou leavst the plane as thou entered
Cold, naked, alone
Now strained from longing, hopefulness
Settled in the palms of my hands
All our eyes, turned inside
Then into my lungs to embrace you weakly
Releasing an exhale softly
All too eagerly I grasped that light
Embrace movement
Clenching palms into fists selfishly
My eyes forced shut
Limbs more numb than mine have carried on
This shell in which my spirit walks
Shall proceed no longer towards the sun
What hell can grant such grief
By force now I must learn
And breathe inside this empty darkness
Shallow as my breath, the light began to fade
Darkening the sky to an infinite emptiness
Here by your side now or oceans away
I come now with love from the place with no name
Me in this place so far from you
So far from your grace
That you cradled here lie
Lie and cradled here stay
Till the dawn breaks bright over the hill
Dry your eyes, take heed from mine
Atop the steed who runs the shining
Bridge between the blackened cold
And my hall up in the sky
Erode from the tides, rest here, becoming less
The wind chills me to my bones
Thou leavst the plane as thou entered
Cold, naked, alone
Now strained from longing, hopefulness
Settled in the palms of my hands
All our eyes, turned inside
Then into my lungs to embrace you weakly
Releasing an exhale softly
All too eagerly I grasped that light
Embrace movement
Clenching palms into fists selfishly
My eyes forced shut
Limbs more numb than mine have carried on
This shell in which my spirit walks
Shall proceed no longer towards the sun
What hell can grant such grief
By force now I must learn
And breathe inside this empty darkness
Shallow as my breath, the light began to fade
Darkening the sky to an infinite emptiness
Here by your side now or oceans away
I come now with love from the place with no name
Me in this place so far from you
So far from your grace
That you cradled here lie
Lie and cradled here stay
Till the dawn breaks bright over the hill
Dry your eyes, take heed from mine
Atop the steed who runs the shining
Bridge between the blackened cold
And my hall up in the sky
