멜로딕파워메탈의 강국은 대략 스칸디나비아 반도국가들이라고 꼽는다. 하지만 노르웨이는 여기에 해당하지 않는 듯하다. 블랙메탈이 훨씬 강한 풍토때문인지 파워메탈의 위상은 평가절하되는 것 같다. Gaia Epicus는 노르웨이의 거의 몇 안되는 파워메탈밴드이다. 그래서인지 약간 언더그라운드의 냄새가 난다. 보컬도 크라이오닉템플처럼 전면적인 개편이 이뤄져야 할 듯 싶다.
Miracles 와 Sieze The Day가 그나마 멜로디라인이 살아 있어서 발전의 가능성이 보인다.
올해 말에 신보가 나오는데 변화된 모습에 대한 기대가 크다.
