Formed in Iraq and heavily influenced by Metallica, Gilgamesh is their first full album and doesn't disappoint. Staying true to their thrash roots on songs like Rise, Unity, and Rebirth, they also venture into a variety of styles to demonstrate how far they've grown as a band since leaving Iraq. Gilgamesh was funded by donations, which is sad because a band with this talent should easily be picked up by any metal label. Will there be another Acrassicauda album? I hope so.
