상당히 무거운 멜데스를 들려주는 앨범이다. 스웨덴 예테보리 메탈의 기운을 가득 담고 있는 강렬한 리프가 귀를 때리며, 보컬 또한 일반적인 멜데스의 하쉬보컬이 아닌 블랙메탈 보이스와 유사하게 사악한 분위기를 조성한다. 매우 무겁고 직선적인 구성이지만 뉴메탈의 청량감은 전혀 느껴지지 않아 가볍다는 생각은 하기 힘들다. 곡들간의 편차가 그리 크지 않으며, 일반적인 멜데스가 들려주는 날렵한 솔로보다는 그루브감이 느껴지는 리프로 승부하는 스타일이라 청자간에 호불호가 많이 갈릴 것으로 보인다. 데스메탈 본연의 파워나 멜로딕 블랙메탈에서의 사악한 보컬을 원하는 청자라면 부담없이 청취할 수 있을 듯.
