사실 결과물 하나만 놓고보면 평균은 되는데도 발전없는 무난함의 연속이라면, 밴드 디스코그라피 내에서의 평가로는 점수가 깎이게 되는 경우가 있죠. 이렇게 이전에 해놓은것들에 의해 피해받는 음반들이 종종 있습니다. 딥퍼플의 Machine Head와 Burn 사이에 끼어버린 Who Do We Think We Are이나, 음악은 문제없는데 밴드가 메탈리카여서 문제인 Load, Reload가 그렇습니다.
