보컬이 바뀌어도 음악만 들어도 이들의 음악이라는 것을 알 수 있다.

Everyone's beloved Bruce Dickinson left the band in 1993, and this was strongly reflected in Iron Maiden's next album. "The X Factor" is really dark and languid, but not all the songs convince. Blaze was also a questionable choice as the new singer. It's still not a completely bad album and the first 3 songs and "The Edge Of Darkness" rock! Still clearly weaker than the previous album. The real bottoming would come later...

It's tolerable but flawed. Not disaster but downfall after Fear Of The Dark.

The X Factor is a goof album for them tbh

This was Maiden's first real misstep to me. No Prayer for the Dying and Fear of the Dark still had some great tracks on them. This one on the other hand, is just very average all the way through. The songs are fine, but overlong and nothing sticks.

Blaze Bailey's first album with the boys has taken a lot of flack over the years. Unfairly in my opinion. there are some great tracks on the album. Kicking off with the sign of the cross, lord of the flies and man on the edge. Yes there is some filler but overall not as bad as people think.

곡 자체는 괜찮은 편이고 특유의 서사적인 면도 살아있다. 그러나 보컬이 고음불가라 상당히 아쉽다. 이런 보컬이 있으면 클라이막스에서 시원하게 지르지 못하기 때문에 곡의 흐름이 어쩔 수 없이 밋밋해진다. 다만 과거의 브루스 디킨슨을 무시하고 들으면 적당히 감상할만한 작품이다.

Sign of the Cross is easily among Maiden's top 10 songs. Judgement of Heaven & Man on the Edge are the other highlights on the album. The Unbeliever is the worst album closer by Maiden. The album could get boring as most of the songs are slow & dark. It's definitely missing Martin Birch's production & Bruce's vocals (Blaze does a decent job). It is not as bad as it is portrayed by many. It could actually be Maiden's best album from the 90's.

Por mucho que no este Bruce, la música sigue siendo buena, y Blaze no lo hace mal en todas... Creo que es un buen album de heavy metal, sin llegar a la altura de otros grandes trabajos de Iron Maiden eso si.

감상 소감은 다음 두가지로 정리 해두려 합니다. 첫째, 스티브 해리스의 송라이팅 능력에 감탄하였습니다. 베이스로 분위기있게 인트로 풀어내는 실력하며, 출중한거야 이미 알고있었지만 그 확고한 스타일은 보컬이 바뀌어도 돋보입니다. 둘째, 블레이즈 베일리는 영 아닙니다. 브루스의 그늘, 비교 때문이 아니라, 그냥 스티브의 대곡을 표현하기에 부족합니다.

The best Bayley album

그래 사실 Domination이나 X Factor 의 실패를 온전히 Ripper나 Bayley에게만 모는 건 대단히 잘못됐다. 중소기업에 있던 경력직 김대리가 머기업 중요 사업부에 들어간 후 프로젝트가 똥망했다 치더라도 그건 그 대리 때문은 아니니깐. 밴드는 나름 고민하여 새로운 방향성을 제시하고 싶었겠지만 그 방향이 영 아니었던 거다.

앨범내에서 블레이즈 베일리는 4번트랙 클라이막스를 못살린것 빼고는 별 불만없지만 브루스 디킨슨시절 고음을 제대로 내지 못하는 보컬을 왜 뽑았는지는 지금도 의문입니다. 앨범은 좋은 노래도 많지만 중반넘가면 달리는 노래가 거의 없어서 좀 지루해집니다. 1번은 메이든 노래중 탑파이브 안에 들어가도 좋구, 7번은 정말 싫어요.

Long live iron maiden :) !!!!!!

블레이즈 베일리를 딱히 싫어 하는건 아닌데 이건 아무리 들어도 별로다;;; 난 차라리 다음 앨범인 Virtual XI 가 더 좋게 들리던데;;;

생각보단 괜찮은 앨범이다. 베일리의 보컬은 아이언 메이든과는 잘 맞지 않긴 하지만, 그래도 좋은 곡도 몇 있고. 평작 이상.

Blaze Bayley ain't the greatest vocalist for Maiden. Still, they managed to pull out some good songs like Blood on the World's Hands(every bass player's must-learn) and The Unbeliever.

Blaze Bayley 의 보컬이 좀 부족하지만 노래 자체는 훌륭하다. Sign Of The Cross는 명곡이다!!

개인적으로 블레이즈 베일리 목소리도 나쁘지 않았었고 본작도 욕먹은것에 비해서 괜찮았다고 생각했었음. 스티브 해리스는 브루스 디킨슨과 블레이즈 베일리의 차이에 대해 "디킨슨과 베일리는 완전 다른 스타일이기 때문에 비교 자체를 할수가 없다" 라고 했음.1,2,3 주요곡

이 앨범이 왜이리 까이는지 모르겠다. 1,3,4,6,7 명곡이 즐비하다.

기대않하고 들어보니 나름 괜찮았다.

졸작..... 브루스가 그리웠다.

다른 밴드의 앨범이라고 생각하면 그럭저럭...그러나 이건 "아이언 메이든"의 앨범이잖나.

롭 없는 쥬다스, 부르스 없는 메이든은 앙꼬없는 찐빵 같습니다.

보컬을 잊어라. 그러면 들을만한 앨범
