이 밴드 ㅋㅋ10여년 전에 소리바다 채팅방에서 어떤 분의 추천으로 접한 밴드이다. 그 당시에 꽤 좋게 들어서 어렴풋이 기억하고 있던 밴드였다. 최근에 문득 이 밴드가 떠올랐었지만 밴드 이름이 기억이 안나 생각하느라 애를 먹었었다. 무슨 tower..였는데...하다가 메킹에서 뒤적뒤적거리다가 드디어 찾아냈다.Mythological Cold Towers.얼마나 반갑던지......
여기에 나와있는 장르인 Melodic Death Metal보단 Epic/ Folk Black Metal 혹은 Doom Metal 스타일에 더 근접한 사운드를 들려준다. 상당히 신화/서사적인 성향이 강하게 드러나며 특유의 웅장함과 신비로움에 감탄이 나온다. 수록곡 전 곡다 거의 대곡지향적임에도 불구하고 너무 루즈하지 않게 잘 이끌어가는 전개가 돋보였다. 다만 킬링트랙의 부재, 전 곡이 고만고만한 점, 지루하지 않게 전개를 펼쳐나아가지만 완벽하진 않다. 드문드문 지루한 구간이 있다. 이런 점들을 제외하면 꽤 들어줄만한 작품이다. 나같은 경우는 참 추억이 깃든 밴드라 왠지모를 애착이 간다 ㅋ
