This is a black metal band with decades of experience, and these songs benefit from that. At the same time, if I heard this and was told it was a new young band full of enthusiasm for beginning their career, I'd believe it. This time, it's more centered around 2nd wave BM than the last couple albums were. Extremely gratifying songs with great execution.
