All the records with Steven Wilson's touch for mixing and mastering sound phenomenal. Of course, I am not saying that vinyl can surpass CD and Hi-Res digital formats when it comes to sound quality. Scientifically speaking, CD and Hi-Res digital formats always sound better and have more accurate musical expression than vinyl in terms of the way that musicians would want their fans to listen to their music.
But, vinyl has distinct and signature sound characteristics that music fans cannot overlook and miss. I just prefer listening to this album in vinyl format due to the way that the vinyl presents the musical contents of this album.
