It was immediately apparent from the first tracks released as singles for "Endtime Signals" that something both old and new co-existed in the new compositions. It started with " The Last Imagination " which reminds everything of a good piece of Dark Tranquility - aching vocals, sad melodies, a power that springs deep from some existential void. Soon, " Unforgivable ", much more aggressive and carrying memories of a particularly early period of Dark Tranquility also appeared to fill us with questions about where the new identity of the band is headed, but also to fill us with interest. Icing, or rather icing on the cake came to close the preludes " Not Nothing " to hit us directly where it hurts, reminding us what Dark Tranquility know how to do well. With my opportunity to enjoy them at Brutal Assault with the current lineup (plus Peter Lyse Karmark on lead guitar) but also the three new compositions shortly before the release of the new record, in a condition of heavy rain and immediately after the unimaginable appearance of Abbath, that cleared up a lot about how I feel about this record.
First let's say that Dark Tranquility is one of the few bands that could keep alive an overly tired audience that has already endured what I described, and they did. Then, the new pieces come together as if they came out of the same period as their material that comes from every temporal and stylistic expression of their past. 그냥저냥 무난한 앨범이다, 여기서 더 이상 발전할것도 없을거같고 이미 최고점 찍어보고 더 올라갈 경지가 없다고 생각하는 밴드라 이후 앨범들은 별 기대가 안간다.

후기 다크 트랭퀼리티의 색깔이 Atoma - Moment로 넘어오는 시점에서 어느정도 정립된 것 같습니다. 그래서 이번 작품은 다소 유난스럽게 표현하면 Moment의 2번 CD를 듣는 기분마저 듭니다. 이 부분이 호불호를 만드는 요소인 것 같습니다. 그들만의 색을 어김없이 보여줬지만, 그것이 다소 심심한. 하지만 다크 트랭퀼리티는 역시나. "역시는 역시"

정말 이들의 디스코그라피에 망작은 없다. 정말 대단하다. 하지만 개인적으론 2000년대 초중반 시절의 6집~8집이 그립다

Dark Tranquillity na novinke "Endtime Signals" ponúkajú svoj typický štýl Melodického Death Metal -u v strednom tempe, ktorý je doplnený Prog. prvkami, gitary nie sú o tvrdosti, ale skôr o vyhrávkach a príjemných sólach, pričom samozrejme občas aj riffujú. Hudbu dopĺňajú podarené klávesy a už skoro s celou históriou kapely prepojený hlas (rev, občas aj melodický spev) Mikael Stanne -ho.

하던대로 아주 잘한 다크트랭퀼리티. 다만 이번 앨범은 분위기적인 측면이 강했던 Haven이나 Construct 등을 들을 때 느끼던 전율보다는 ‘멜로디와 구성이 아주 좋다‘라는 느낌을 많이 받았다. 전작 Atoma와 Moments의 연장선이랄까. 다음 앨범에서는 이들이 잘하는 전매특허의 분위기 넘치는 DT 사운드를 더 들려줬으면 한다.

4년만에 돌아온 DT의 신작. 사실 선공개된 Not Nothing과 The Last Imagination을 들었을 땐 머릿속에 물음표가 뜬 느낌이었는데 다른 수록곡들이 더 좋아서 그래도 역시 DT구나 싶다. 85점과 90점 사이에서 상당히 고민했지만, 다 듣고나니 좋긴한데 기억에 확 남는 곡은 없어서 85점을 매긴다.

별로 큰 기대 안하고 들었다가 담달 공연 티켓 구입해야겠다는 생각이 든 앨범. (캐나다 입니다. 죄송 ㅠㅠ) 개인적으로 3번트랙 Neuronal Fire가 너무 좋네요. 멜로디가 영화 인터스텔라 테마곡 느낌.

아직 많이 안 들어봤지만 큰 변화는 없는거 같고 DT 후기작들 특유의 감성이 잘 계승되어 있는듯 하다. 멤버가 아무리 많이 바뀌어도 항상 이렇게 양질의 멜데스를 만들수 있는 능력이 잘 탑재되어 있다는게 경이롭게 느껴진다.

참 무섭다 이 밴드는 언제쯤 망작이 나올지.. We Are the Void 앨범이 닭트랭 기준으로 좋은 평가를 받지 못한 앨범인데 다른 멜데스 밴드 기준으로 수작으로 평가 받을 앨범일텐데 요번 신보는 전작 Moment 부터 등장한 캐치한 멜로디와 Atoma+Fiction 앨범 특유의 사색적이고 Character 앨범의 공격적인 스타일을 한 스푼씩 넣은 느낌이다 이쯤되면 이들의 망작을 보고싶다
