štvrté radové album a posledné, ktoré naspieval Christian "Spice" Sjöstrand. Naopak prvé, na ktorom sa ako radový člen objavuje Per Wiberg, ktorý má na starosti klávesy, hammondky a orgán. Väčšie využitie klávesových nástrojov albumu vôbec neublížilo, je naďalej dosť gitarové, jedine sa zvýraznila pestrosť a retro feeling. Gitara Michael Amott -a opäť kombinuje príjemné sóla a gitarovými vyhrávkami a občasnými riffmi. Rytmická sekcia (bicie, basa) je úderná, napriek tomu celkom pestrá. Štýlovo sa naďalej pohybujú v Stoner Rock/Metal -e s prvkami old school Hard Rock -u.

Per Aspera Ad Astra is one of the best Stoner Metal songs I've ever heard. The rest of this album is above average Stoner Metal, but not as memorable. Well played and well composed (just not a big fan of the genre).
