적절한 완급조절을 동반한 묵직한 사운드, 의외로 마지막 트랙에서는 호소력까지... 앨범째로 다 돌리고 나면 왠지 모를 여운이 남아서 꽤 반복청취를 했었다.

Hauntingly beautiful metal with otherworldly vocals and well-researched Phanerozoic era extinction period. Cambrian II reminded me of The Quiet Observer in the best way. Favourite tracks were Silurian: Age of Sea Scorpions, Devonian and Permian.

혼돈스럽고 광폭한 사운드로 대표되는 Precambrian과 그 시퀄이라 부를 수 있는 본작은 11년의 간극만큼이나 차이가 분명하다. 초창기의 다이나믹함을 본작에서 찾아볼 수 없다는 부분은 아쉬운 점이다. 하지만 보다 정제된 표현력, Heliocentric 앨범부터 다져온 탄탄한 구성과 포스트 메탈의 문법은 본작에서도 여전히 빛을 발하고 있다.

Album 도입부는 인상에 오래 각인될 정도로 파격적이다. 그러나 곡들이 진행됨에 따라 점점 집중력이 떨어져가는 것은 프록이 갖고 있는 단점중에 하나일 것이다. 이런 부분들을 사이사이에 만회할 수 있는 리프들로 채움으로써 다소나마 지루함을 덜어주었다.
