A good sabbatical work. It's like a mix of Sabbath with Rage Against the Machine in some tracks, like "Insanity." Most of the songs feature amazing riffs, as we all can expect from a good doom/stoner metal band. But they made it sound even better than some old bands of the genre, even though it's their first album. The guitar and basslines were phenomenal in this. A real trip!
"Acid Fuzz" is probably the best start for a first EP.
"Insanity" brings a traditional doom metal riff to the beginning. Anastacio's vocals remind me a little bit of Zack De La Rocha. A good one!
"Lost in the Void" is a little bit repetitive, although it's well-conducted. But it's not the best track on the EP.
The vocals in "Lady Doom" are much clearer. The track is great too. Again, a great riff, addictive as hell. The bassline right before the main riff at the beginning is out of this world. Probably the best track on the EP, along with "Acid Fuzz."
"Decaying State of Mind" is another good track, but it doesn't grab me as much as the previous one. The riff reminds me a little of one of their next works, "Black Roots Rising" (a great song by the way).
Highlights: Lady Doom and Acid Fuzz
Not the best: Lost in the Void
