Eightball Voodoo digital single
For immediate release.
EIGHTBALL VOODOO released their blistering sleaze rock version of the famous Geordie folk/football song, BLAYDON RACES on Monday the 7th of November 2011. The single is available from iTunes, Amazon mp3, Spotify, Napster, Myspace music and all good online music stores. A two minute teaser promo video is also now on Youtube.
BLAYDON RACES is a famous Geordie folk song written in the 1862 by Geordie Ridley. The song has been adopted by supporters of Newcastle United football club, referred to as the Toon army, in Newcastle, North east England. Though other recorded versions exist they are for the most part all folk in style. This is the first time a heavy rock version has been released. The single is being backed by the Sunday Sun newspaper to compete against X-factor for the UK Xmas number one slot.
EIGHTBALL VOODOO are currently still in the studio recording a double a-side single for release in the next few months and will follow that with an e.p and then a full album. The sleaze rockers are currently also booking dates for international touring in 2012.
