A picture of a book, the nightmare starts

A heavy cellar door, locked with chains
Abruptly it opens, the source of all pain
They investigate, decide to take a look
And find a tape player and that satanic book

They press play to hear what's said
Ancient incantations to raise... the evil dead

Cheryl goes outside, to see what's going on
Vines attack her body and rape her on the lawn
She goes to tell her friends, her torment never ends
No one will believe she was raped by the trees

They try to leave at once, the bridge they cannot cross
Here is where they stay, until the light of day

Possession takes control
No help for her soul
She flies into the air
With a wicked demonic stare

A pencil becomes a knife, to take another's life
Much damage is done, but the demon hasn't won
Knocked into the cellar door, beneath the mountain cabin's floor
The beast lies in wait, for the chance to spread its hate

Invisible force crashed through
Another soul is taken
Again the men think they've won
But they are mistaken

Finally they know the plan
Cut off her head and legs and hands
Bury her beneath the earth
But another spirit makes its birth

Scotty tries to get away
But he can't until the day
Haunting laughter fills their heads
The mocking sounds of...the evil dead

Demons, now, they play games
"I'm ok, unlock these chains"

Another attempt to take his life
Lick the blood from this unholy knife
Finally her stops her cold
And locks her with chains to hold

He decides to bury her
Beneath the frozen ground
Now three demons are set free
Salvation can't be found
One loses her head, to a shovel
Her body tried to fight
But it's a useless struggle

A shotgun blast doesn't help
Run for your life, save yourself
He takes a look down the stairs
Blood appears everywhere

A mirror turns to water
Before his very eyes
Ash cannot save himself
But again he tries

He takes what he thinks is his last look
Into the fire, he throws the godless book
They decompose, right before his eyes
He turns to leave, freedom his prize
He thinks he's won, he's saved his soul
But the demons take their final toll...
