Cavernous lair miles underground
No insects, no light, no life can be found
By torchlight and lantern we gaze the discovery
Temples of bones entombed by the centuries
Altars of skulls bemoan their antiquity
Scrolls scribed from flesh unspoken obscenity
Mummified bodies in walls look like sculpture
Now moaning awoken enraged in this sepulchre

Now up from the floor drifts a fog
Our lanterns and torches blow out
