I'm alive, I think, it's so cold I can't tell
No clue how long I've been here, I no longer care
Another rescue may come soon, maybe some food...
My wounded foot still black and blue
Maybe my wife made it back, I hope my kid did
But my infant son has been digested
Trapped, results of a lying chiseler in Hastings
Down a mislead path, a much larger desert to pass
No trail to travel, we had to cut our own, we were warned
Banished our leader after a fight, he stabbed one in the chest, dead
Supplies diminished, wagons left back, shot at by Indians, oxen attacked
Further we go, more mountains, but we hit snow
Snow hit us, forced to stay, time ticking as the food went away
Hunger, cold. too many to feed, stuck, days turn to weeks, turn to months
Our two guides shot dead for the sole purpose of providing meal
Trying to survive but we're dropping dead like flies, eventually becoming meat
Hindsight, too big of a group, the children with us, crying out for food
Forlorn Hope must have made it back, a few rescue parties here to help the stranded
But I'm still here, can't move, delirious, choking down humans as food
Tammer was here to check on me, can't recall if I murdered her or she died naturally
But I'm eating her now, survival ass, I took all her cash, I will make it back
Or this will be life, eating corpses until I join them and die
We've been destroyed, decimated, a few were rescued, the rest dead and fed
I will do what needs to be done to stay alive, now knowing that I was born under an evil star
