hudba Diablo Swing Orchestra je založená na kombinovaní a netradičných hudobných postupoch, pričom aktuálne album "Swagger & Stroll Down the Rabbit Hole" obsahuje Experimentálny/Avant-Garde Rock/Swing s naozaj už len občasnými prvkami metal -u. Oproti predošlým albumom som sa do hudby dostával ťažšie, avšak následne som ocenil kvalitu albumu. Je to možno spôsobené aj veľkou rozmanitosťou (aj zvukovou), hlavne výraznejšími prvkami v štýle swing / jazz / orchestral a občas aj country, prípadne pop a old school disco. Páči sa mi ich pestrosť, ale občas by som prijal viac gitár a hlavne lepší (tvrdší! zvuk gitár. Na albume je nevýrazný a dosť zvláštny. Hlavnú úlohu zohrávajú prevažne dychové nástroje: trubky, tuby a trombóny (teda ak dobre počujem). Spev je (a bol) u DSO originály a nie je tomu inak aj na novinke. Predný obal je tiež svojský a aj celkom originálny - k hudbe pasuje.

I liked the previous albums a bit more, but even Swagger & Stroll Down the Rabbit Hole contains a lot of good music

이젠 메탈적인 요소는 거의 찾아보기 힘들다. 예전에 유행했던 일렉트로 스윙 재즈에 락적인 요소가 좀 들어간 스타일을 보여주고 있을뿐이다. 3집을 너무 좋게 들어서 그런지 이전 음반부터 실망이 크다.
