Their bandcamp says they've all been in black metal bands for many years, and from the 1st second to the last of this album it sounds exactly like that, like the true veterans using their experience to make the genre as powerful as they can. They identify their music simply as black metal, but some songs have some rich atmosphere, and others are super melodic. No need to squabble about sub-genres, it's all great music.
