"Straight Between the Eyes" is Rainbow's sixth studio album and the line-up was the same as had recorded the previous album, with the exception of David Rosenthal, who replaced Don Airey on keyboards.

Ritchie continues the trend of radio friendly heavy AOR with liberal solos thrown in. Not bad, but not as good as the early output.
