Songs were originally written by Steve Gaines for Abattoir's The Only Safe Place album. Ben Hoffman helped in the writing process of this album, but left the band before recording began.
The song "Spare No Lives" was featured on the 1987 Metal Massacre VIII compilation from Metal Blade Records.

skupinu Tactics som doteraz nepoznal, pričom ich prvé a zároveň aj posledné radové album "The Master Plan" ponúka podarenú kombináciu Heavy/Speed Metal -u. Jedinou nevýhodou albumu je dosť nepodarený zvuk, ktorý znižuje kvalitu nahrávky, avšak moje bodovanie ovplyvnil minimálne. Dvaja členovia pôvodnej zostavy, ktorá nahrala album sú už na druhom svete (R.I.P.).
