A real melodic death metal / death 'n' roll gem. The recording, mixing and musicianship are superb. 6 tracks are Necroticism-Heartwork-Surgical Steel inspired. The other 4 have a groovy Swansongish style but better, musicianship and recording wise. The early 80's heavy/trash/death metal bands influence is notable: Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Celtic Frost, etc. It's a mature Carcass album that has a harmonic and distinct combination of their different phases.
