90년대 중후반, darkthrone을 위시한 로우블랙메탈 밴드들이 사악함을 벗어제끼고 대자연과 숲, 겨울을 노래했던 그 시기의 사운드들을 담고 있다. 전체적으로 로우블랙메탈 특유의 작법과 질감, 즉 새로울 것이 없는 진행방식이지만 그 속에서도 곡에따라 멜로디컬한 진행과 엣모스페릭한 분위기도 잘 잡아내는, 여러모로 흠잡을 곳이 없는 데뷔작을 만들어내었다.
