Bewitcher의 셀프 타이틀 앨범은 장르 특유의 예측불허한 사악하고 폭력적인 사운드로 점철되어 있다. 불길하게 들리는 트레몰로 연주와 스피드 메탈의 불타는 광란적인 리프는 폭발적으로 점화하고 있다. 통제불능한 이들의 광기넘치는 에너지는 앨범 전체에서 무모하리 만큼 일관되고 있다. Bewitcher의 데뷔 앨범은 북유럽에서 유래한 블랙 메탈의 특질에 제대로 부합하고 있다. 다만 아쉽게도 앨범의 이러한 반복되는 경향이 지나친 부분이 있어서 쉽게 질리는 부분도 있다. 이를 장르에 고유한 미학으로 포장하는 사람들도 있지만 개인적으로 이 앨범은 밴드의 과잉된 에너지가 난사되고 있는 경향이 강해서 좀더 자제하고 다듬었으면 하는 생각이 들었다. 하지만 극단적인 것을 즐기는 사람들에게 Bewitcher의 데뷔 앨범을 듣는 것은 나쁘지 않은 선택이 될 거라 생각된다.
