바흐의 토카타를 커버한 점에서 고전적인 톤과 대위법이라는 음향/작곡 특성이 드러난다. 멜로딕하지 않은 보컬 라인 덕에 리프가 보컬에 끌려 다니지 않는다. 기타리스트가 1명인데도 스테레오 솔로가 리듬 기타와 대위를 이루는 작곡은 밴드가 영향을 받은 블랙 사바스보다도 뛰어나다.

시대를 막론하고 구린 밴드는 늘 있었습니다. 대다수의 리스너-대중들이란 사실 성공한 밴드, 위대한 밴드 음악 위주로 듣게되기 때문에 깊게 파고들지않는 이상 그바닥에 깔린 수많은 (빛을 보지 못한) 밴드들을 접하긴 쉽지 않습니다. 그 구린 밴드들 중에서 가장 멋진축에 속하는 음악. 계속 구리다가 익숙한 토카타로 운을 띄우더니 마지막 트랙하나 남깁니다.

Cirith Ungol have interesting ideas, and create a rather unique (for the time) mix of medieval fantasy with more evil occult themes, but the music and production are very lackluster.
