Debutové album sa pohybuje štýlovo v Old School Death Metal -e s prvkami Thrash. Oproti neskoršej tvorbe nie je až tak zaujímavé + neobsahuje moc výrazných momentov, keďže v danom období, ale aj teraz hraje takýmto štýlom množstvo iných deathových kabiel. Špičku od priemeru delí práve originalita, prípadne sila hudobných nápadov, čo tu viac menej stagnuje. Taktiež growling/rev je zatiaľ skôr priemerný, keďže až pri neskorších albumoch využíval King Fowley svoje hlasové možnosti a pestrejší, aj keď stále agresívny prejav. Taktiež mal na starosti aj bicie, ktoré sú prevažne rýchle a zahrané tak, akoby sa stále za niečim naháňali a nestíhali to. Z celého albumu je najpodarenejšia gitarová hra, ktorá je aj dobre nazvučená (gitaristi boli vždy silnou stránkou Deceased), aj keď aj tu sú od neskoršej tvorby počuteľné rozdiely. Chýbajú kvalitné melodické nápady z ich neskoršieho obdobia a výrazné sóla. Možno je to spôsobené aj tým, že album je posledným počinom dlhoročného gitaristu (podieľal sa hlavne na predošlých demonáhravkach a EP) - Doug Souther. Niektoré piesne sú lepšie, iné priemerné a z môjho pohľadu patrí v ich diskografii za najslabšie radové album - akoby jednotvárnejší a nudnejší predchodca svojich neskorších kvalitných nástupcov.

Luck of the Corpse didn't appeal to me in the past, and it doesn't appeal to me now. luckily they have better albums from my point of view.

Primitive thrashy Death Metal, executed well. Not breaking any ground, but it's fun record with good energy and strong riffs.

What'd you expect form Old School Death Metal? Cutting-edge production or clean quality is nothing close to what the genre offers you. It's something much more than that. Deceased's debut full-release album will teach you what Old School really is for.
