Rhapsody와 더불어 이탈리아 Melodic/Progressive Metal계를 양분하는 Labyrinth의 EP앨범 Timeless Crime 이다. 비록 4곡에다 22분대의 미니앨범이지만 각각의 곡은 상당한 임펙트를 주는 완성도를 지니고 있다. Labyrinth의 음악은 애상적인 로맨틱한 뉘앙스를 짙게 풍기며, 폭발적인 질주에 아름다운 멜로디를 수놓아 비극적인 카타르시스를 선사한다. 살인적인 스피드에 기품있는 멜로디를 지닌 Save Me 등을 담고 있다. 멤버들은 전작 Return To Heaven Denied와 동일라인업이며 이는 3집까지 유지된다.

Fantastic EP, Labyrinth delivering top quality Power Metal as always. My only complaint is the redone version of "In the shade" is actually worse than the original... which is a shame, cause that's my favorite Labyrinth song :(

ep 신보가 라센되어 save me, out of memory, in the shades 를 처음 들었던 학생때의 흥분을 잊지 못한다. 이전 까지만 해도 헬로윈과 감마레이 근처에 가는 밴드를 접하지 못했는데, 아예 다른 스타일의 서정적인 파워메탈을 처음 접했던 기쁨이란..

There's only 5 songs on “Timeless Crime”, but it is worth buying despite being so short album & this is still a solid piece of metal. This little EP is packed with some very ambitious and entertaining feats of musicality. It could be a nice addition to the collection of any fan of Labyrinth, particularly those curious as to how the older material would sound with Rob Tyrant.
