album zneje neskutočne cirkusantsky a klaunovsky. A keďže cirkus a ani klaunov nemusím, moje hodnotenie bude nízke. Nerozumiem, ako niekto môže toto označiť ako kult a klasiku tvrdej experimentálnej scény, ale veď každý máme iný vkus, tak čo už... Niektoré zvuky a "melódie" mi až neskutočne vadili. Zároveň určite to NIE JE metal. Je to skôr kombinácia Funk/Ska/Jazz/Experimental/Avantgarda a občas nejaké gitary. No tvrdých gitár je neskutočne málo. Ale album je skôr o pazvukoch, disharmóniách, bez silných nápadov, bez riffov a bez poriadného spevu (Patton občas dobre zaspieva, ale len občas a inak je to bieda). A tá časť, kde niekto s prepáčením serie (nakladá do WC), škoda slov... Veľké sklamanie. Našťastie ich posledné album je podarené.

Basically a worse and more disgusting version of Primus. They get props in that they sounded totally unique, perhaps even to this day. Even for Avant-Garde metal, this is really weird stuff. Not that this came out of nowhere – the band had been putting together demos and EPs of Avant-Garde Funk Metal for a few years, making them unequivocally pioneers of this style of music.
The thing about this album is that every aspect of it – from the vocals, to the lyrics and humor, to the disjointed, eclectic songwriting and sound – are all acquired tastes. Very strong flavors that you either love or hate. For fans of the bizarre and “out there,” this is quite frankly a treasure trove of unique ideas and execution. For me, it’s just a lot of things that I don’t enjoy meshed together into a long, messy record.

very bad & very weird album, a furious mix of different styles forced together, but don't fit together. There's a lack of coherence, good ideas and most of the time songwriting gets sacrificed for general weirdness.

I hated this when it first released. I just thought Mike Patton was trying to profit on some shock value, but after I listened a few times, it grew on me and I started to understand it's just the vision of a couple of guys who wanted to do whatever they wanted despite what people would say. The majority of this album is beyond enjoyable and it puts a smile on my face because it's just that goofy. This is only one of two of their albums I like though.

현재 미국에서 AVANT / FREE JAZZ BAND 결성을 준비하고 있습니다... 혹시 이쪽 계열을 좋아하신다면 이 앨범을 정말 강추드립니다. NAKED CITY 와 더불어 그 유명한 JOHN ZORN 선생님의 여러 실험 밴드중 하나랍니다. 저도 같이 연주할수 있을날을 꿈꾸며....
