My most played album # 34. Ratt -Detonator. Only sold 500,000 copy's, I love this album, I think it’s the best Ratt album! The radio played Shame Shame Shame, Lovin' You's a Dirty Job and Giving Yourself Away. More great songs One Step Away, Top Secret and Heads I Win, Tails You Lose. I thought it should have been multi platinum, then again 1990 was around the time when MTV stopped playing metal and grunge was forced on us, so this was the first Ratt album not to go platinum. The band co-wrote most of the album's songs with Desmond Child while Jon Bon Jovi appeared as a guest background vocalist on "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose".

Desmond Child과 자기 사단 Arthur Payson 덕에 아주 매번 안타까웠던 믹싱에서의 밋밋함이 드디어 입체감이 최소한 이정도는 되어야지라는 느낌까지 올라갔다. 데스몬드가 작곡 참여도 하고 매우 괜찮은 앨범이다. 원래 깔끔한 연주를 자랑하는 ratt가 프로듀서 잘 만나고 소리까지 좋아진 앨범. 1-2집 이상으로 의미가 있는데 3,4집은 플래찍고 이건 골드에 멈춰버렸다

굉장히 테크니컬한 주법의 기타사용으로 하드락 이상의 뭔가가 있는데.. 이들이 멜로디메탈을 해도 전혀 이상치 않을거라 생각되며 수준급의 연주실력을 자랑하는 앨범이다

초기 1,2집이 단순하고 깔끔한 진행의 la메탈이었다면 본작은 블루지한 연주에 좀 더 진화한 트윈기타가 불을 뿜는 명반으로 초기작 포함해서 래트 최고의 앨범이라고 생각된다. 스티븐 피어시의 보컬은 여전히 짱짱하고 기타솔로는 대단히 탁월하다.

글램메탈의 속성과 사운드 프로덕션의 콤비네이션이 환상적이다. Ratt 는 두 기타리스트가 너무 저평가 당하는 듯 한데 들어보면 연주들이 탁월하다. shame shame shame, one step away, givin' yourself away 가 특히 좋았다.

한 때 동네에서 좀 놀던 형들의 성숙하고 철든 모습은 대견함과 동시에 은근한 섭섭한 기분또한 들게 한다. 깔끔하고 경쾌하다.

2,3,10이 주요곡인데 10같은 노래 더 만들었으면 좋았을것같음.스티븐 피어시의 독특하고 매력적인 음색을 잘 표현해주는 곡이라고 생각함
