10. Black Chapel (9:16)
The melting sky drips into a flailing form
Desecrating lights, falling below the swarm
The ocean foam returns unto the dying world
Eyes cut apart being held by broken arms
Rituals and shadows, sorrow flees the heart
A chapel on the edge of dissipating art
This city it becomes you, the despair, it carries on
Let it be the same, the same as it always was
Take off the mask, let the light shine through the surface
You should leave if you want to save yourself now
The dream of a dying man, eternal in its wake
The last hopes, remove the soul, destroy everything
Birds landing upon a strung up ashen place
Falling from the sky onto a pauper's blackened plate
Tearing bloody serpents from the newly broken rock
The surrounding tribes of judah, all but dead and gone
Set fire to the animals, let them act as the lost
Never return the blackness to the dying God
Take off the mask, let the light shine through the surface
You should leave if you want to save yourself now
This cathedral of shadow
A vastness before me
A dying god begging me
For a forgiveness he shall not receive
The void, forever
The void, eternal
The crushing weight of all this sorrow
The endlessness of no tomorrow
Your throne is falling from the sky
Your god is built on fucking lies
The hopelessness collapses here
Take off that mask, remove the fear
This just another death
Emptiness
Emptiness
Emptiness
Crushed under the weight of God's
Sorrow
Sorrow
Sorrow
You are just another
Emptiness
Emptiness
Emptiness
Crushed under the weight of God's
Sorrow
Sorrow
Sorrow
You are just another dying god
The void, forever
The void, eternal
The crushing weight of all this sorrow
The endlessness of no tomorrow
This cathedral of shadow
A vastness before me
A dying god's robes lie empty
I must maintain illusions, gently
Desecrating lights, falling below the swarm
The ocean foam returns unto the dying world
Eyes cut apart being held by broken arms
Rituals and shadows, sorrow flees the heart
A chapel on the edge of dissipating art
This city it becomes you, the despair, it carries on
