4. In Vain (5:42)
You walk careless and proud
On a street you used to know
You became a stranger in your plot
What's going on?
Trapped on the stage
Meaningless and hopeless man
The main character is living your life
The one you didn't dare to be a part of
And what do you do? Like always you watch
It's your show, so come on it's time to go
You are going to miss it
Once again you're tired and bored
As you used to do, as the others used to expect
You can't change what's gone
Or what you undone
The theatre is empty now
They brought the curtains down and you're alone
And what do you do? Like always you watch
It's your show, so come on it's time to go
Would you open your eyes?
Maybe you still don't mind, you are lonely
Growing older and blind
Waiting for someone to tell you in vain
You won't look yourself in the mirror on your wall
You're scared of the reflection of a man
What's going on?
You'd rather go on reflecting your lies
Than find again what you've been
Which mask are you wearing now?
You're falling apart this time, I'll just watch
And what do you do? Like always you watch
It's your show, so come on it's time to go
Would you open your eyes?
Maybe you still don't mind, you are lonely
Growing older and blind
Waiting for someone to tell you in vain
On a street you used to know
You became a stranger in your plot
What's going on?
Trapped on the stage
Meaningless and hopeless man
The main character is living your life
The one you didn't dare to be a part of
And what do you do? Like always you watch
It's your show, so come on it's time to go
