I've been waiting for this album for months and they didn't disappoint. Although I can understand why some don't like this style, I'm overjoyed to be able to enjoy this one. It's the perfect blend of slam and deathcore. All the elements I love are in there including chugs, nasty toilet bowl tunnel gutturals, and breakdowns that are highly pronounced. Unlike most of the deathcore these days, Gutrectomy's breakdowns are only one part of the song instead of the entire album being one big breakdown, and they are done properly. With technology overtaking a lot of today's music, it's nice to see bands actually keeping it simple while still actually playing instruments instead of programming music. All expectations were not only met, but exceeded on this release and I couldn't be happier that former full time slam bands are creating a great hybrid of slam and deathcore which provides a place in your mind for endless hours of the expulsion of anger and ill will towards others.
